In a typical 6 month engagement, I help you do two big things:
+ I help you tackle the challenging interpersonal dynamics you face in your organization. I provide you with thought partnership, honest feedback, and a safe and encouraging place to practice the dialogue skills that will change your game.
+ You leave our engagement ready to coach yourself -- and your team -- through the thorny interpersonal dynamics that come with the territory in your work for social change.
Here are some of the skills you learn:
+ To speak and hear hard truths in ways that build -- rather than burn -- bridges
+ To hone and connect with your instincts as an engine of insight and creativity
+ Mindfulness tools that help you stay centered in the storm
+ The art of giving and receiving direct, honest feedback
+ To leverage cultural, political, and personal differences in your organization to inform more grounded action
Some areas of growth are not skills. They are qualities that -- through in-depth coaching -- you begin to cultivate and embody. For instance:
+ The unshakeable confidence that arises when you know yourself deeply
+ The self-awareness to catch yourself in self-sabotage
+ The resilience to engage in long haul work, and not succumb to burnout
+ The clarity to know and speak your truth
+ A fierce respect for boundaries -- your own, and those of others
+ The grounded, honest integrity to say what needs to be said
Here's how it works:
+ A typical coaching engagement lasts about 6 months.
+ Our engagement will be a mix of in-depth personal development coaching, thought-partnership, and hands-on practice.
+ We meet either weekly, or every-other-week, depending on your needs. We can meet by video, or phone. (I often like to start out on video as we get to know each other, then move to phone, which tends to be more reliable).
+ I will send you resources, things to practice, and journalling questions by email, as needed.
+ You shoot me an email between our sessions and check-ins, anytime you need additional support.
+ To keep things both simple and flexible, I charge by the session. Each 60-minute session is $200.
Add on Service: 360 Feedback Report - $600
